For Immediate Release Rhoades Announces Opposition to Gun Registration BillI have recently announced my opposition to House Bill 760, which is a controversial bill aimed at gun registration. Gun owners would be required to register their firearms annually with the Pennsylvania State Police for an annual fee of $10. My record is very clear on the issue of gun control. Throughout my tenure in the Pennsylvania Senate, I have steadfastly supported law-abiding citizens’ right to keep and bear arms and will continue to do so. It remains true that no matter how stringent we try to make the law as it pertains to criminals, the only ones hurt by it are those who obey our laws in the first place. Please know that I am firm in my opposition to this legislation. I will fight hard for the law abiding citizens of my district so they can continue to enjoy their second amendment rights. |
