Rhoades Presents Senate Citation Honoring Charitable Organization President

HARRISBURG -- Sen. James Rhoades (R-29) today presented Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) National President Ned McGinley with a citation to recognize his role in the organization's charitable causes.

"It is with great pleasure that I am able to present this citation to Ned and the members of the AOH ," said Rhoades. "This citation honors the many good deeds that they do across the Commonwealth."

Also in attendance were various AOH members who also accepted the citation honoring the organization.

The AOH is the largest Irish Catholic Fraternal Organization in the United States. In addition to charity and mission work, the AOH also works to promote peace and unity in Ireland, support veterans and education and preserve Irish heritage and history.

"The AOH works to help those who need it most through charitable projects such as the Hibernian Hunger Project and the Hibernian Disaster Relief Effort," Rhoades said. "Ned deserves a great deal of credit for his role in these projects, and it is a pleasure to formally recognize his efforts to help communities not only in our area, but in communities across the country."
