September 12, 2008 – Senator Rhoades presents a $1,000,000 grant to
Schuylkill County VISION that will be used for website development,
education programs for schools and a countywide media campaign. Joining
Senator Rhoades are Joanne Parulis, VISION Executive Director and Matt Baran,
VISION Board President.

September 11, 2008 - Senator Rhoades presents a $250,000 grant to William
Crossin, President of St. Luke’s Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, that
will be used for the expansion of the cardiac care unit.

July 22, 2008 – Senator Rhoades presents a DCED grant for $100,000 to Gordon
Borough that will be used for dredging of the Little Mahanoy Creek.

Rhoades, along with Senator Pat Browne and Senator John Pippy, participated
in a Senate Urban Affairs & Housing Committee hearing at the Schuylkill
County Courthouse on SB1291 – the Neighborhood Blight Reclamation and
Revitalization Act.

Fire Historical Museum in Shenandoah that will be used to upgrade and expand
their facilities. |

Township Supervisors for the purchase of a new dump truck.

March 19, 2008 – Senator Rhoades presents a check for $404,000 to East
Norwegian Township that will be used for significant safety improvements at
the intersection of Tunnel Road and Route 61. Taking part in the
presentation are: Ken McCarthy, Chairman, East Norwegian Board of
Supervisors, Senator Rhoades, Jack Ketner, East Norwegian Board of
Supervisors and Tom Yashinsky, East Norwegian Township Engineer.

January 23, 2008 – Senator Rhoades presents a $456,000 grant to
representatives of the Northern Schuylkill Council of Governments that will
be used to purchase various pieces of heavy equipment that will be shared
among the 15 member municipalities. |

$600,000 to Wayne Stump, Executive Director of the
Schuylkill YMCA that will be used for improvements to
their facilities in Pottsville and Tremont.
